Itinerary
On arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, our representative will welcome you, who will move you to your Negombo hotel. We’ll visit the fishing village after freshening up and you can spend some relaxing time at the beach there. We’ll be back to our hotel in the evening for an overnight stay.
In the morning after breakfast we will take you to long drive of 169 km to Anuradhapura. While you’re in town, we’ll take you on a sightseeing tour of Anuradhapura covering major attractions such as the famous World Heritage Site-Sri Maha Bodhi, Dagobas, Ruwanwelisaya, Brazen Palace, Lord Buddha’s Rock Statutes, Jetavana & Abhayagiri Monasteries, and Isurumuniya Rock Temple. After a successful day we will return to our Anuradhapura hotel.
After a healthy breakfast we will head towards Sigiriya which is about 74 km away from Anuradhapura. As we reach our destination we are going to check in at the hotel. We will then leave for the city tour to visit Rock Fortress and Fresco Painting, two must-see attractions in Sigiriya, Sri Lanka. We will take you on a wildlife tour in Kaudulla National Park, after the sightseeing trip. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
We’ll take you to Sigiriya in the morning, after the breakfast, 17 km drive to Dambulla. Upon arrival, you will be taken for a pilgrimage tour to the famous Golden Rock Temple and after seeking Lord Buddha’s blessings, we will proceed our journey to Matale via a 48 km drive. You’ll be on an interactive tour at the Spice Garden here at Matale, where you’ll get to see and learn about a variety of spice plants and bushes. We will head towards Kandy after Matale, which is at a distance of 25 km. At Tooth Relic Temple, in Kandy, we will pay homage to Lord Buddha. You’ll be a part of a cultural dance program after a long successful day, followed by an overnight stay at the hotel in Kandy.
In the morning after breakfast drive to Pinnawala , 50 km from Kandy. We should visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala where orphan elephants are cared for. You will then be taken to the Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya where an array of exotic plants and flowers await you to amaze. We’ll return to Kandy for an overnight stay.
We will leave for Nuwara Eliya after breakfast, En-route you will visit a convincing tea factory to see how the tea is being prepared. On arrival in the English town of Sri Lanka, Nuwan Eliya, we will visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens which is home to an exotic ferns and roses series. Nuwara Eliya hotel will have overnight stay.
This is going to be the last day of this wonderful journey. We ‘re only going to be on our way back to the airport on this day followed by good memories and wonderful experiences.
