Best time to Visit Sonmarg
Summer is the perfect time to visit Sonamarg from April till June. During Summers Sonamarg has a nice weather. You can also choose to visit this hill station during the Monsoon season. During late winters it is recommended to avoid going to Sonamarg. The temperature drops significantly due to heavy snowfall, and the roads become blocked.
How to Reach Sonmarg?
By Road – From Jammu you can drive to Sonamarg by yourself and cover the 400 km distance. Getting there will take about 12 hours.
By Train – Jammu Tawi Railway Station, in Jammu, is the closest railway station to Sonamarg. You may pick a bus or taxi to cover the remainder of the distance to Sonamarg.
By Air – Several of India’s international airports link to Srinagar International Airport. The airport is located 70 Km from Sonamarg. Cab service from the airport is available to get to Sonamarg Hill Station.
