Itinerary
Arrival at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International our representative will welcome you for North east tour package – Assam Meghalya Arunachal Pradesh and proceed towards Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site where you may see ‘Big Five’ animals i.e Great Indian one horned Rhino, Elephant, Royal Bengal Tiger, Eastern Swamp Deer and Wild water Buffalos. Evening is free for relaxing and leisure. Also, You can visit Orchid Garden where we will enjoy cultural program of Assamese Bihu Dance or other traditional performances (optional). Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Early morning we can go for Jeep Safari (Extra cost). Even, We can also enjoy Elephant Safari (5.30AM-6.30AM). Post breakfast, we will checkout from the hotel and proceed towards Dirang. This is a charming city located in north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. En route visit Sangti Valley and Dirang Monastery (as per time permits). Arrival at Dirang and check into your hotel. Evening relax for the day. Overnight stays at Dirang hotel.
Post breakfast check out from the hotel and visit Sheep breeding farm, Apple Orchids. Then drive to Tawang by Sela pass, this is a narrow pass in the mountainous regions of Arunachal Pradesh, at an elevation of 13700 ft above sea level and this signals our entry into the Tawang valley. Moreover, Tawang will give you area to create memories through snapshots few of them are Paradise Lake, Jung fall, Jaswant garh. Overnight stays at Tawang hotel.
Option 1 After breakfast go for BUM LA PASS, which is located above 16,500 ft of sea level, at the Indo China border and is worth visiting when you visit Tawang. This place evokes a feeling of patriotism, especially after watching soldiers protecting the border in such nerve-wracking weather conditions. The Bum La Pass is about 37 km away from Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. En route visits PTSO Lake, Madhuri Lake. If time permits, you can go for Tawang Local Sightseeing.
Option 2 TAWANG – LOCAL SIGHTSEEING:
Tawang is the 6th Dalai Lama’s birthplace. Tawang is a hill station situated at an altitude of 3500 meters. Also it is located at a height of 12000ft above sea level. It is a land of Monpa Tribes. The main attraction of Tawang is the 400 years old Tawang Monastery,Giant Buddha Statue, Dorjee Khandu Memorial and Light and sound show at War Memorial. Evening back to the hotel and overnight stay there
After enjoying your breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed towards Bomdila. On way we will visits Bomdila Monastery, Bomdila War Memorial, Upper Gompa and Lower Gompa. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stays in a hotel at Bomdila.
After breakfast, proceed to Nameri. Day free for leisure. You can enjoy river rafting at Nameri (timing morning 06:00 am to 02:00pm at extra cost). Overnight stay at Nameri.
Morning after breakfast proceed for Shillong, which is also known as the “Scotland of the East”. On way you may visit Umiam Lake also referred as Barapani Lake. Also, Today you will visit Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park evening and go for a walk at Police Bazar. Overnight stay at Shillong.
After breakfast check out from the hotel and directly proceed to Cherrapunjee. Also, It is the wettest place in the world. On the way to Cherrapunjee visit Elephant falls (Elephant Falls are located approximately 7 km from Shillong on the way to Cherrapunjee. So, You may have to climb down 350-400 steps to enjoy these beautiful waterfalls). However, Cherrapunjee is the land of wonderful waterfalls and beautiful valleys. Some of the main attractions are the Garden Of Caves, Arwah Cave, Dainthlen Falls, Seven Sisters falls, Eco Park and Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Caves, near Cherrapunjee are an experience in itself, the limestone caves are well lit up. Check into a hotel at cherrapunjee and overnight stay there.
After breakfast, go for Jowai here you will experience the beauty of the famous Krang suri falls. Post lunch proceed to Laitlum Grand Canyons. The place is remarkable due to its natural environmental formation. Drive to Shillong and visit Cathedral Church and Don Bosco Museum. After that back to the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Shillong.
