Sri Lanka sees two moonsoon seasons so it is best to visit different parts of the country at different times of the year. The Yala Monsoon, which takes place from May through August, affects the Hill Country's south and west coasts. This is the best time to visit the regions to the north and east. At the other hand, the Maha Monsoon takes place from December to March and covers the regions north, east and west, leaving the west, south and hill country ideal for visiting. How to Reach Sri Lanka

Bandaranaike International Airport is the only international airport in the region, and it is well connected with major cities in India and abroad. It is about 30 kms from Colombo 's capital. Passengers traveling in from India from Chennai, Bangalore and Thiruvananthapuram also do so.
