The best time to visit Nepal is October through December. However, it also depends a lot on the type of operation that one wants to pursue, or the places within the country. The autumn months of October and November are rewarded with bright skies and breathtaking views as the perfect time for trekkers.
The next best time to visit Nepal is from March-April in spring season. The rhododendrons are blossoming, and the temperatures are dry, but not scorching. The winter months are perfect for those seeking a holiday in Kathmandu and the low-lying regions.
How to Reach Nepal
By Road - It is very convenient to enter Nepal from India, as the two countries share a common frontier. One can arrive by road , rail or air to Nepal. Indian residents can travel to Nepal on the basis of a valid identification card issued by the Government of India such as Passport or any other valid document.
By Train - Cargo and passenger trains run in southern Nepal between Sirsiya and Raxaul 's Indian city. Only Indians are allowed to cross border by rail, however.
By Air - The main point of entry for those arriving by air is Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. The principal flight operators are Nepal Airlines. Air Arabia, Air Asia X, Air China, Etihad Airlines, Fly Dubai, Jet Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Oman Airlines, Qatar Airways, Silk Air and Thai Air are additional airlines serving the airports here. Flights from India, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur are available on request.
