Monkey Point

Monkey Point is situated in Kasauli’s Air Force Station, near the Lower Mall. This is the highest point in the City of Kasauli. The town’s Monkey Point and is one of the location’s most popular attractions. At the Monkey Point is a shrine, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. According to the Ramayana, one of his feet touched the hill when Lord Hanuman returned from the Himalayas after receiving the Sanjivani Booty, that’s why the top of the hill is in the shape of a foot. The Mall Road takes about two hours to enter by walk. The trek is of a moderate standard and the route provides spectacular views from many resting points.

Coupled with the reverberating sounds of temple bells, the new mountain breeze is a rare experience with serenity and should not be missed. Thus, Monkey point is a great spot for nature lovers who love to get lost in what can be described as a wonderful mix of panoramic views, hopping monkeys and peaceful vibes. Tourists can get a complete view of the Chandigarh region’s plains from the top of the hill, and the Sutlej river flowing through the valleys. Visitors may also see a snow covered top of Choor Chandni, the Lower Himalayan belt’s highest elevation.
