Host to a variety of wildlife species, birds, and marine animals, the Jaipur Zoo is the ideal place for family and friends on a weekend getaway trip. Opened in 1877, the zoo is located near the Albert Hall Museum and features a distinct array of more than 50 animal and bird species from around the globe. The Zoo also has a museum inside which is the assumption. The museum portrays the state’s wildlife past, and current, Rajasthan. The zoo currently holds as many bird species as animals and was also declared as a bird park as from 2018.
The zoo has since been split into two parts — the mammal section and the other birds and reptile parts. Key animals in Zoo include a varied Black Buck, Baboon, Hyena, Black Bear and Himalayan Bear community like birds-White Ibis, Teeter, Peacock, Parrot, Crane, Vulture, Cockatoo, and Painted Stock among others. All in all, the Jaipur Zoo is a must-visit not just for lovers of animals but also for individuals who would love to spend some time learning about the wide range of animals and bird species that surround us.
