“Har ki Pauri” or “Brahamakund” is more than a sweet, religious Ghat. You can never know how incredibly attractive this place is, without having time in it. It is the place which has the almighty Lord Vishnu ‘s true footprint. It is also thought that it was the location where a few drops of Amrit had dropped. Built in 1st century BC, this place is a live proof of Vikram-Betaal Stories’ truthfulness. It was built by Raja Vikramaditya in the memory of his brother Bharati, and on Lord Vishnu ‘s order. Lots of temples to visit in this town. It’s also the place River Ganga reaches the plain for the very first time after it emerges from the Himalayas.
It is the place where God resides all over the place, all the time. In this Ghat bathing takes away all of your sins. The prominence of this place during the Kumbh and Ardh Kumbh period increases extraordinarily. Beautifully lighten Diyas and candles floating across the river, the highly pleasing natural beauty, sweet sounding Mantras, and the Ganga Aarti refresh your mind all the way through here.
