The picturesque hill station located amidst scented forests of pine and gigantic deodars. Chail is built on three hills, the palace is on Rajgarh Hill, the Residency Snow View once occupied by British resident is on Pandhewa Hill and on the third hill Sadh Tibba where Chail is situated. Overlooking Satluj Valley, Shimla and Kasauli are also visible at night from here.
In Chail Maharaja Bhupinder Singh developed the world’s highest cricket field. The pitch offers a picturesque view of the surroundings, surrounded by tall forest trees. Chail Wildlife Sanctuary also attracts a large number of wildlife photographers and nature lovers. One can see a wide range of flora and fauna including animals such as black Himalayan deer, sambar, goral, wild boar etc. Kali ka Tibba is a popular shrine in Chail, frequently visited by people from nearby towns and villages aside from tourists visiting the station on the hill.
