Beas Kund is a sacred lake in which Rishi Vyas was taking his daily bath. From here the Beas river originates. The trek to Beas Kund is one of Manali’s main trekking destinations as well as one of its main trekking spots. The Beas Kund is covered as a stone building by an igloo, and is considered sacred by the Hindus. Every year the platform has attracted thousands of devotees. The current Beas name is created by Sage Vyas who is Mahabharata’s poet. This tiny Beas Kund lake is located in the upper and upper Solang valley. Which is the centre of Manali winter and summer sports. The majestic Pir Pangal Range from Beas Kund can be seen on a clear day.
At Solang, 13 km from Manali, the Beas Kund trek begins, and winds through the Solang Valley. You can witness breathtaking views of lush green meadows, glaciers and snow-capped mountain peaks on this hike. The trail passes through Dhundi (7 km from Solang) and Bakar Thatch (5 km from Dhundi) to reach the Beas Kund glacier (3 km from Bakar Thatch), the River Beas’ birthplace. Dhundi camp gives Mt. Hanuman Tibba and Seven Sisters the first glimpse of this. This is generally a 5 day Manali trek.
