Adi Kailash Yatra packages are to visit & darshan of Adi Kailash, also famous as Chota Kailash. Our Adi Kailash Yatra Package covers all the arrangements required for the finest travel experiences.
Adi Kailash is located in the Pithoragarh district of the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. The altitude of Mt.Adi Kailash is approx. 5945 Meters. The sacred Adi Kailash is located in Vyas Valley. Mount Adi Kailash is an exact replica of Tibet’s holy Mount Kailash and has special significance among Indians.
Gunji, the base camp for Adi Kailash Yatra is connected with Dharchula. Also, The Gunji village is located on the ancient Indian route to Kailash–Manasarovar Yatra. Approaching Gunji from Dharchula and the rest of India, the route along the western bank of the Sharda River (also known as the Mahakali River) splits into two separate motorable routes. The one heading north to Kailash-Mansarovar and the other heading west to Adi Kailash.
Om Parvat can be seen on the way to the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra from the last camp below Lipulekh Pass at the India-China border post of Nabhidhang. Pilgrims for Adi Kailash often visit to have the darshan of OM Parvat. Since the area is close to the Indo-China post, special permission is must-visit Nabhidhang.
Yatra registration, Permit & medical fitness is necessary for the Adi Kailash tour. Valid ID Proofs by the government of India like UID(ADHAAR) & Voter ID are a must for registration. All the pre-yatra formalities will be done at Dharchula. No pilgrims will be allowed for Adi Kailash without yatra registration. Our ground support team ensures that our guests get conveniently registered before starting the trip. Also, The coordination cost of Yatra registration is included in the Adi Kailash Yatra Packages.
Adi Kailash yatra by road is only & the best option available now. Initially, the road conditions were quite bad even non-motorable sometimes. That was taking approx. 18 days for Adi Kailash tour from Delhi. Recently, in 2020, India opened and inaugurated a newly built road in this area from Gunji to Limpiyadhura Pass (Lampiya Dhura Pass on the India-China border). The new road reduces the travel time to Adi Kailash substantially. The Adi Kailash Yatra by road starts from either Haldwani/Kathgodam Railway station or Delhi. Now, it takes just 7-8 days to complete the yatra from Haldwani or Delhi as well. There is merely a 1.5 KM trek only if one goes for Charan Sparsh.
As we know, there is hardly a mild trek of 1.5 Km for Adi Kailash & Parvati Kund darshan. Still, one can explore the divine place by little treks. Although, trekking lovers may add Panchachuli trek with Adi Kailash Yatra by booking in advance. Also, Adi Kailash Trek cost is inclusive in our by road package to Adi Kailash Yatra.
There are no helicopter services available to visit Adi Kailash. We will update you about the Adi Kailash Yatra by Helicopter once that will be announced by authorities.
