LM Tiwari, an official from Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam, explained that the decision was made due to concerns that monsoon rains could disrupt travel to these high-altitude sites.

The official stated that bookings for the pilgrimages will reopen in September.

Adi Kailash gained significant attention last October when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jolingkong, which provides a stunning view of the peak. The pilgrimages started on May 13, with approximately 600 devotees participating.
