Saheliyon ki Bari is a beautiful garden in the town of Udaipur and one of the most popular tourist spots in Udaipur. Through time, fountains, marble art and lush lawns attract the public. Saheliyon ki Bari means the ‘garden of maids’ in English. This garden reflects Maharana Sangram Singh’s green retreat in the desert lands, and was designed for the royal ladies of Mewar in the 18th century. It is located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake, and is one of Udaipur’s spectacular places to visit. The garden was designed by the king himself, and gifted to his wife, according to legend here.
Saheliyon ki Bari is a monument of the 18th century considered of tremendous historical significance in India. Tall trees, lush green shrubbery and flower beds are beautifully landscaped.
